For your convenience, Nicaragua Adventures is offering you 3 different ways to go around Nicaragua:

Private transfers:

We offer vehicles (4x4’s, SUV’s, minibuses) of different types, all new or in excellent shape. All vehicles have a/c and car insurance is included. We take care of maintenance and strictly select and train our drivers.

We operate transfers country wide and also from/to Costa Rica (Guanacaste beaches, Four Seasons hotel, Liberia, Rincon de la Vieja, Arenal/la Fortuna…), 365 days a year. All of our vehicles are recent and in excellent conditions. They all have a/c and we take good care of maintenance and strictly select and train our drivers.

Please contact us for a quotation (tell us the pick up and drop off places, number of people and approximate dates): info@nica-adventures.com

Rent a car with private driver:

Rent one of our vehicles (4x4’s, SUV’s, minibuses) with a driver provides you a hassle free vacation: no deposit required for possible damages, no liability in case of accident, theft etc, and your driver will always know the best spots to visit, restaurants etc… Your driver can also pick you up in Costa Rica (with a good previous notice as the car and driver need permits and visa). Please contact us for a quotation (tell us the pick up and drop off places, number of people and approximate dates): info@nica-adventures.com

Rent a car (Self drive):

Drive yourself is a possibility if you like to be more independent (it can be a little cheaper too). However, you need to know that the driving conditions ain Nicaragua are very different from those in your home country: there are very few roads signs, many roads are not in good shape (damaged, or dirt roads),  many people don’t respect roads rules, you will find wild horses and cows even in the major roads etc… Many people who chose this option then say they didn’t feel as comfortable as they wished. If you still wish to drive by yourself, we will send you a list of recommendations once the booking is made.

You can rent a car by the day or the week, and Nicaragua Adventures offers a complete range of cars:

*Small and midsize Sedans (ideal to drive in the city, not recommended if you want to drive many miles. Best for 2 persons; can suit for 3 or 4 for short trips without luggage). They are the most economic, but you will be very limited as many areas are designed for light 4x4 driving.

Toyota Yaris

Toyota Corolla

*Small and medium 4wd (Daihatsu Terios, Suzuki Gran Vitara): recommended due to roads conditions in Nicaragua, particularly in the winter time when many roads get wet and in poor conditions. Ideal for 2-4 people. Necessary around San Juan del Sur area, Ometepe, Matagalpa.

*Larger 4wd (like the Toyota pick-up Hilux, 4Runner or Land Cruiser Prado). Can go almost anywhere and can fit up to 4-7 people. Ideal for 4-5  with luggage.

Toyota Hilux 4x4

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 4x4

*Minibus Toyota Hiace that can fit up to 15 pasengers (best for up to 8-10 comfortably seated passengers).

*Minibus Toyota Coaster that can fit up to 29 pasengers.(Note: only with driver).

We work with the most reliable car agencies in Nicaragua. Renting a car costs between $50.00 a day for a standard car and $110.00 a day for a luxury four wheel drive car, including basic insurance and taxes. You may not necessary need a 4wd, but we recommend this option if you have to drive outside Managua. Several roads become impassable for a regular car during the green season.

A major credit card with an average of $700.00 to $1000.00 deposit for the deductible is  required. All cars carry the "Collision Damage Waver" and car rental agencies offer optional insurances.

For any reservation, please contact us. Prices will vary according to the time of the year, insurance selected and pick-up and drop-off place.
