Day 1: Airport Managua.3

Arrival in Managua, meet and greet by a bilingual speaking guide. Transportation to hotel located downtown.
Night at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Day 2: Managua - San Carlos - Solentiname Archipelago - San Juan River (B, L, D)

Breakfast in your hotel, transfer to Managua international airport. At 8:30 am board the domestic flight from Managua to San Carlos. Boat ride to Solentiname Archipelago located 1h30 away from San Carlos and formed by 36 islands with lush vegetation. Visit local families who give tribute to area wildlife working carving colorful small birds and animals in balsa wood. Then we will ride trough RioPapaturro. Here we will go to visit Los Guatuzos wildlife refuge which is a protected wildlife reserve replete with myriad species of animals. Los Guatuzos is home to more than 130 species of orchids, 389 species of birds, 3 species of monkeys, sloths, turtles and caimans, by the afternoon we will transfer to Rio San Juan, arrive in your lodge. Day 3: Indio Maiz Biological Reserve (B, L, D)

Early breakfast in your hotel, we will navigate in the jungle in the Bartola river, find Indio Indio-Maíz Biological Reserve home to many endangered species: howler, white faced and spider monkeys, jaguar, giant anteaters, crocodiles, toucans, parrots and a rainbow of orchid and butterflies. Over 600 species of birds live here, along with more than 300 species of reptiles and 200 species of mammals. Join us for a trip into the lungs of Central America, into the biggest expanse of lowland rain forest north of the Amazon basin, Nicaragua's Indio-Maíz Biological Reserve. Birds can be easily seen when traveling up the river by boat, and it is not uncommon to see dozens of different species during one trip. Return in boat to San Juan River for lodging at Sabalos Lodge. Day 4: San Carlos - Managua - Montibelli (B, L)

Boat ride to San Carlos and flight back and to Managua, transfer to Montibelli. This Private Wildlife Reserve has an area of 162 htas of Dry Tropical Forest, located in the Managua’s Sierras with a excellent and panoramic view of the city. Lunch at the reserve. Montibelli has a very rich birdlife. Not only can you find woodpeckers, hummingbirds, parrots, vultures, hawks, golden orioles, and motmots (the national bird); the reserve is also inhabited by an impression population of trogons. Go with your specialized guide to discover this amazing place and inhabitants. 1In the afternoon visit another tropical dry forest reserve, El Chocoyero, strong tropical rain forest with a great biodiversity. Sanctorum of birds and refuge of thousands of chocoyos (parrots), howler monkeys and toucans. Transfer to Granada .

Day 5: Granada- Nature Reserve and Cloud Forest on Mombacho Volcano - Granada (B, L)

After breakfast transfer to Mombacho Volcano. This1400 meters high volcano has been extinct for many years now and it is totally covered with vegetation. This has created a rich ecosystem where within it live 50 species of mammals, 174 species of birds, 30 of reptiles and 750 species of flora. A powerful truck will drive all the way to the top of the extinct volcano. We will go through coffee plantations to the cloud forest, which offers exceptional sites to discover its flora and fauna. We will walk around one of the craters and discover amazing views!
Typical lunch included in Granada.  Free afternoon in this nice and colonial city.
Granada is the oldest colonial city in the Americas, founded by the Spanish in 1524. Touring Granada will transport us back to the colonial times, with its classical and neo-classical buildings, its horse-drawn carriages!2

Day 6: Granada- Lake Nicaragua and the Islets - Morgans Rock (B, L, D)

Early breakfast in your hotel, we will drive to Lake Nicaragua. Go for a Boat Ride and discover some of its 365 islands "isletas". All these islands are luxuriant, rich in fauna and flora, especially in water birds. Later we will take our way towards south to San Juan del Sur. We will drive 5 miles further until we reach Playa Ocotal hosting Morgans Rock, arrive at 1pm.
Night at Morgans Rock Ecolodge 4*.

Day 7: Morgans Rock (B, L, D)

Day of leisure this exceptional property, many land and water tours are offered at the hotel (some of them included in rates, check at the resort when you check in).

Day 8: Morgans Rock Managua (B, L)

Free morning in Morgans Rock. Back to Managua.

Day 9: Managua International Airport (B)

Transfer to Airport. Depart for Home.
