Ometepe Island, world’s largest volcanic island in a lake; Granada, old colonial city; the Masaya National Park and active volcano; the villages “Pueblos” and typical markets. A cocktail of history and eco-tourism!

This package is the perfect combined package when visiting Costa Rica.

Day 1 : Costa Rica-Granada

Pick up at the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua, Peñas Blancas, or your hotel in Costa Rica. Transfer to Granada and accommodation in your hotel Patio del Malinche 2* sup. According to arrival hour, go for a Horse-drawn Carriage Tour in Granada, the most romantic way to discover this beautiful city! Free evening and overnight in your hotel.

Day 2 : Granada-Masaya area-Granada (B)

Go for a day tour around Granada. First, we’ll drive 30 minutes to reach Masaya’s Active Volcano & National Park; later we’ll visit Masaya’s Handicraft Market, where over 150 shops are awaiting you with finest manufactured goods at very attractive prices. Then we’ll stop at Catarina, overlooking a volcanic lagoon, Granada, Lake Nicaragua and the islands “Isletas”.
Eventually, we’ll go for a Boat Ride in Lake Nicaragua to discover its luxuriant vegetation and some of the islands. Delicious typical lunch included, in Catarina or in private island. Overnight in your hotel.

Day 3 : Granada-Ometepe Island (B)

Early transfer to San Jorge to take the ferry to Ometepe Island. Arrival in your hotel Charco Verde 2* located in front of the water, around 1 p.m. Lunch. In the afternoon, go for a Horseback Riding Tour. Night in the hotel.

Day 4 : Ometepe Island-Hiking and relaxing (B)

Day tour to Hike the Maderas Volcano and reach its waterfall and explore the cloud forest. You can observe a lot of wildlife, such as birds and monkeys. Once back in the hotel, free afternoon to enjoy the beach and relax swimming in Lake Nicaragua in front of the Hotel, you also can rent bikes or kayaks (not included). Night in your hotel.

Day 5 : Ometepe Island-Managua (B)

After breakfast, take the ferry and transfer to Managua or back to Costa Rica, to your next place to visit. End of our services.

• Border tax if Guests are coming from Costa Rica (about US$10.00 r/t at the Nicaraguan border).

Note: if guests arrive from the border with Costa Rica, the trip may be operated the other way around (starting with Ometepe and ending with Granada).
