Shuttles: the way it works

Transportation in shuttle in Nicaragua is a convenient, easy and safe way to travel within the country and it is generally much cheaper than private transfers or car rental if you are no more than 2 or 3 people. Shuttles are shared transfers, leaving at a specific hour from a specific location, and you will be picked up at your hotel. Shuttles are generally available from the most visited destinations (so far we guarantee daily departures to and from Granada, San Juan del Sur, Ometepe Island/San Jorge, Peñas Blancas border, Managua city, and from and to Managua international and domestic airport). Departures are guaranteed even for just one person!

Our shuttle service is a door to door service (hotels in the village/town we serve). Reservations and prepayment are required. Customers without reservations will not be allowed to board the shuttles and pay to our drivers, even if there is space available. Reservations have to be made via email, fax or telephone or directly at our offices in Granada. Our offices open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm and we have an “outside office hours” phone.

Our professional drivers are experienced, well trained and have a perfect knowledge of all sites and routes, thus will make your journey safe and pleasant in modern, a/c, and non smoking vans. We also offer car seats for infants (necessary under 3 years of age, and provided upon request).

FAQ’s:
How will I meet my driver at my hotel?
Please be at the front desk/lobby at the scheduled time. Our drivers are uniformed and will ask for the passengers. Once they have met, the driver will lead the passengers to the van and load their luggage.

How much luggage am I allowed?
Each passenger is allowed one carry-on, and one item of checked luggage that will be stored in the van. The carry-on must stay with the passenger at all times, while the luggage item will be tagged and placed in the luggage compartment. If you have extra luggage or heavy/large items please let us know at booking time as they will be accepted according to available space.

Requirements for Surfboards
We allow surfboards in some of our vans (on the roof) and have a cost of U$ 3 each. It is necessary to mention that at booking time, as not all our vans are equipped to receive surf boards.
