This hotel has a singular history since the San Francisco’s Convent was the first and the most antique convent in Leon, with its church founded in 1639 by the Reverend Fray Pedro de Zuñiga. Because in 1830 religious groups were expelled from Nicaragua, San Francisco’s Convent became the I.N.O. (Instituto Nacional de Occidente) which means Occidental National Institute, until the building was abandoned in year 1960. The actual owners converted it to a luxury hotel in 2001, after a long process of restoration from the original convent’s ruins.
We like: the magnificent patios and gardens, a voyage into history. The best (and also the most pricy) place in Leon so far.

An architectural house of two plants, colonial style, located in the heart of the metropolitan city. It consists of 20 rooms displayed on two floors in an atmosphere that goes back to the colony, with an internal patio. The structure of this residence has been carefully treated in a professional way with the purpose of conserving the value of its originality and history.
We like: Value mid-priced place with a convenient location, the helpful staff makes it a very pleasant place to stay.

HOTEL SUYAPA BEACH is located 20 km from León, in las Penitas beach, one of the two Leon’s beaches. The property is located right in front of the beach, displayed in two stories, with a restaurant facing the beach, offering excellent, fresh seafood and cocktails and personalized attention.
We like: Pleasant although basic place with amenities like: pool, delicious seafood and beachfront… all this at moderate prices. Best for 1-2 nights.
ROOMS
The Hotel has 22 rooms, 15 with air conditioning and 7 with fan, all with private bathroom. Some of the rooms have a beautiful view where you can enjoy the sunsets on the Pacific.
