In the early morning, transfer to the base of Maderas volcano, one of Ometepe 2 volcanoes. From the hotel you will drive one hour, and then you will start to hike Maderas. It will take you around 2 hours to reach the San Ramon waterfall. See wildlife on the trail; birds and monkeys. Also visit Finca el Porvenir and petroglyphs.
Note: you can also hike all the way up to the lagoon and crater (4 to 5 hours up- avoid in wet weather as the trail can get quite muddy
