Day 1: Managua airport-Granada (B)
Arrival in Managua airport. Transfer Granada City.
Granada is the oldest colonial city in the Americas, founded by the Spanish in 1524. Touring Granada will transport us back to the colonial times, with its classical and neo-classical buildings, its horse-drawn carriages! Accommodation in your hotel located in front the central park.

Day 2: Granada- Nature reserve and Lake Nicaragua/Islands (B)
In company of your guide, transfer to the Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve (open Thursday-Sunday) is 1400 meters high. It's been extinct for many years now, and it is totally covered with vegetation. This has created a rich ecosystem where within it live 50 species of mammals, 174 species of birds, 30 of reptiles and 750 species of flora. A powerful truck will drive all the way to the top of the extinct volcano. We will go through coffee plantations to the cloud forest, which offers exceptional sites to discover its flora and fauna. We will walk around one of the craters and discover amazing views! Then we will transfer you to the canopy tour located at the shore of Mombacho Volcano. Here you will get ready to climb and swing through trees!! This tour offers you an unforgettable experience sliding down from tree to tree through seventeen platforms and bridges very safely built, overlooking the coffee plantations. It takes around 2 hours to experience this unique activity.Then, transfer to Lake Nicaragua. You will go for a Boat Ride and discover Lake Nicaragua and some of its 365 islands “isletas", a must see. The islands were formed thousands years ago, after an eruption of nearby Mombacho volcano (now extinct). They are now covered with lush, tropical vegetation, some of them are inhabited by natives, others have vacation houses built on them, and others are still deserted. You will be able to observe some of the many species of tropical birds that live in the islands. The inhabitants (“Isleños) live peacefully in simple yet decent conditions and dedicate themselves to fishing and small agriculture, and now to tourism too. You will be back in your hotel around 5.00 Pm Free time to explore Granada. Night in your hotel in a family room.

Day 3: National Park - Masaya Market - Catarina and San Juan de Oriente (B)
After breakfast, we will transfer you to Masaya (just 14kms from Granada). Your tour will start visiting the First National Park created in Nicaragua in 1979, one of Nicaragua's most interesting and beautiful natural phenomena. It comprises an area of 54 km2 with more than 20 km of scenic roads and trails, leading to and around the one impressive volcano and five formidable craters; one of them currently displays gaseous activity and incandescent lava in its interior. You can also visit the Museum that offer interesting history and legends. Then we will visit the finest Handicraft Market where you can enjoy the creativity and variety of Nicaraguan art at bargain prices. Later transfer to Catarina which is a small and characteristic village of Nicaragua where people work seedling nurseries, make handcraft and raise horses. Placed on top of a hill at 520 meters over the sea level, present a very agreeable climate, the temperature is between 22 and 27 degrees, from here you can have a magnificent view of the Apoyo lagoon, Mombacho volcano, Granada and Lake Nicaragua.. You can enjoy a delicious typical lunch “a la plancha" while looking at the lagoon and surroundings. Then, visit San Juan de Oriente, home of famous ceramic manufactures. Free evening and night at the hotel in Granada.

Day 4: Granada - San Juan del Sur (B)
Today your driver will pick you up in your hotel after breakfast. We will take our way south to San Juan del Sur which is a small and very nice typical fishermen port located at the south west, placed along a bay that overlooks the pacific ocean 90 kms west of Granada and 55 Kms from Costa Rica's frontier.
Enclosed by prehistoric volcanic hills, San Juan del Sur is characterized by a 2 Kms wide sandy beach, with very good climate during the whole year. It permits to practice surf, and deep sea fishing and bathing. Accommodation and night in your hotel in or above the village of San Juan.
Days 5 and 6: San Juan del Sur (B)
Free day in San Juan, to enjoy the different tours and possible activities in the area:
-Discover the surrounding beaches such as Maderas, Majagual, Marsella, el Coco (some shuttles are available).
-Enjoy your time in this pleasant village with its numerous water front bars and restaurants, boutiques and souvenirs, discotheques.
-World-class sport fishing departing from San Juan (please inquire with us).
-Horse back riding

-Turtles, whales and dolphin watching (according to season)
Day 7: San Juan del Sur - Managua (B)
Afternoon transfer to Managua. Accommodation at your hotel. Night in your hotel.
Day 8: Managua - Airport (B)
Transfer to Managua international airport to take your flight back to your country.
