Day 1: Airport- Managua
Arrival in Managua, transfer to Granada located 1h drive away.
Night in Granada.
Day 2: Granada- National Park – Masaya Market – Catarina - White Towns – Granada (B)
Today take a tour to Masaya area. We will visit the First National Park created in Nicaragua in 1979, one of Nicaragua's most interesting and beautiful natural phenomena. It comprises an area of 54 km2 with more than 20 km of scenic roads and trails, leading to and around the one impressive volcano and five formidable craters; one of them currently displays gaseous activity and incandescent lava in its interior. Hiking around the 5-crater complex, including the smoking crater of Santiago. The Park also contains a Museum of Anthropology, nature trails and camping areas.
Then we will visit the finest Handicraft Market where you can enjoy the creativity and variety of Nicaraguan art at bargain prices.

Later, transfer to Catarina, a small and characteristic villages of Nicaragua where people work seedling, have nurseries, make handcraft and raise horses, this is a great example on how a village of native people without a great academic education can fight poverty!
Placed on top of a hill at 520 meters over the sea level, this village presents a very pleasant climate; the temperature is between 22 and 27 degrees, from here you can have a magnificent view of the Apoyo lagoon, Mombacho volcano, Granada and Lake Nicaragua.
Then you will go to San Juan de Oriente, famous for its ceramic arts, we will also visit Masaya area: Here we’ll visit the “White Towns” (typical villages), each village of native has its specialty: ceramics, leathers, woodwork, painting… You will be able to learn more about our culture and idiosyncratic.

Later, arrive in Granada. Granada is the oldest colonial city in the Americas, founded by the Spanish in 1524. Touring Granada will transport us back to the colonial times, with its classical and neo-classical buildings, its horse-drawn carriages! Accommodation in your hotel. Free evening in Granada
Day 3: Visit Granada City – Kayak in Lake Nicaragua/Islands (B)
Today go and take a walking tour of this colonial city: Churches, sights, old train station etc.
Free time to enjoy a delicious lunch in one of the best typical restaurant in town. Then in the afternoon around we will go to Lake Nicaragua for a Kayak tour. See the most beautiful islands in Lake Nicaragua and their rich flora and fauna. During the tour visitors will stop at the “San Pablo Island Fort” used in colonial times as the Granada’s point of defense against invading gold searching pirates.
Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 4: Granada – Canopy tour - Ometepe Island (B)
Today your driver will pick you up in your hotel at 8.30am.
Go to the canopy tour which is located at the shore of Mombacho Volcano (Around 30 min from Granada). Here you will get ready to climb and swing through trees!! This tour offers you an unforgettable experience sliding down from tree to tree through seventeen platforms and bridges very safely built, overlooking the coffee plantations. It takes around 2 hours to experience this unique activity.
Later, transfer to pier in San Jorge, Rivas.
Take the ferry to Ometepe Island, world’s largest volcanic island in a lake. Transfer to your hotel, driving around the active cone of Conception Volcano. Accommodation in the lodge situated on the waterfront.
Day 5: Hiking on Maderas volcano (B)
In the morning, go and hike the Maderas volcano, one of Ometepe 2 volcanoes. From the hotel you will drive one hour, and then you will start to hike Maderas. It will take you around 2 hours to reach the San Ramon waterfall. See wildlife on the trail; birds and monkeys. Transfer back to your hotel. In the afternoon (around 3.00 pm) horseback riding to pre-Columbian site -see petroglyphs
Day 6: Ometepe – San Juan del Sur (B)
Leave the hotel and the island. Transfer to Moyogalpa, take the ferry to the main land. Transfer to San Juan del Sur which is a small and very nice typical fishermen port located at the south west, placed along a bay that overlooks the Pacific Ocean 90 kms west of Granada and 55 Kms from Costa Rica's frontier. Accommodation and night in your hotel.
Day 7: San Juan del Sur (B)
Free day to enjoy the beach and the hotel. From your hotel in San Juan you can get transportation (private or group too) to different beautiful beaches located a few miles south and north of San Juan: Majagual, Marsella, Maderas, el coco …
Day 8: San Juan del Sur – Granada or Managua (B)
Free morning at leisure in this little paradise. Afternoon transfer to Managua or Granada. End of services.
