Day 1: Arrival – ManaguaArrival in Managua airport. Meet and greet by a representative of our company who will provide vouchers, maps and important information about your trip. Transfer by shuttle to Hotel Mansion Teodolinda 2*, located downtown. Free evening and night in your hotel.

Day 2: Managua – Leon Viejo - Leon City (B)After breakfast, transfer to Leon City, on the way visit to “Leon Viejo”, this was the first capital of Nicaragua. In December 2000, León Viejo was added to an exclusive list of less than 600 historical and archaeological sites recognized worldwide for their importance to human history. A visit will enable you to get to know a great deal of Nicaraguan History.Arrive in Leon and accommodation in Hotel Los Balcones 2*. In the afternoon we will go to visit the city (churches, the Cathedral hike the tower to get an amazing view of the city and volcanoes), as well as a magnificent Art Gallery with painting from Europe and Central America, distributed in 2 colonial houses. Night in this lively city.

Day 3: Leon – Masaya Active volcano – Handicraft market - while villages – Granada (B)After breakfast transfer to Granada, on the way we will visit to Masaya (just 14kms from Granada). Your tour will start visiting the active volcano and First National Park created in Nicaragua in 1979, one of Nicaragua's most interesting and beautiful natural phenomena. It comprises an area of 54 km2 with more than 20 km of scenic roads and trails, leading to and around the one impressive volcano and five formidable craters; one of them currently displays gaseous activity and incandescent lava in its interior. You can also visit the Museum that offer interesting history and legends.Then we will visit the finest Handicraft Market where you will enjoy the creativity and variety of Nicaraguan art at bargain prices. Later transfer to Catarina, this is a small and characteristic village of Nicaragua where people work seedling nurseries, make handcraft and raise horses. Placed on top of a hill at 520 meters over the sea level, present a very pleasant climate, the temperature is between 22 and 27 degrees, from here you can have a magnificent view of the Apoyo lagoon, Mombacho volcano, Granada and Lake Nicaragua., after we will go to San Juan de Oriente, famous for its ceramic arts.ventually arrive in Granada, accommodation in Hotel La Posada del Sol 2* located close to the central park, free time to visit to visit the city.

Day 4: Granada City – Lake Nicaragua (B)After breakfast we will visit the city: The convent and Church San Francisco, now is a historical museum, after we will go to La Casa de los tres mundos: art gallery, and a cultural academy, we will visit Iglesia la Merced….and much more. Get a traditional horse back carriage to Lake Nicaragua pulled by two horses and conducted by a local driver. To end this magnificent trip of Granada we will go for a Boat Ride and discover Lake Nicaragua and some of its 356 islands “isletas”. Transfer back to your hotel and free evening.

Day 5: Granada – Ometepe Island (B)Today you will travel to Rivas and the port to take the ferry to Ometepe Island (50 minutes). Ometepe is the world’s largest volcanic island in a lake. You will be picked up at the ferry at your arrival in the Island and transferred to the hotel. Accommodation in Hotel Charco Verde 2*, situated on the waterfront, in the afternoon you can discover the island or just relax at the beach. Many activities are available in your hotel (optional), like kayak, horse back riding, hikings, and much more.

Day 6: Ometepe Island – San Juan del Sur (B)After breakfast. transfer to the ferry place for a ferry back to the main land. Travel to San Juan del Sur, a small and very nice typical fishermen village located at the south west of Nicaragua, placed along a bay that overlooks the Pacific Ocean 90 kms west of Granada and 55 Kms from Costa Rica's frontier. Accommodation in your hotel Colonial 2*, free day to enjoy of the pacific ocean in this beautiful town.

Day 7: San Juan del Sur (B)
Free day at leisure to enjoy the beach and optional activities offered in San Juan del Sur. Night at your hotel.

Day 8: San Juan del Sur – Managua / or Costa Rica.
Breakfast in your hotel.Transfer from San Juan del Sur to Managua or Peñas Blancas (border with Costa Rica) or to End of services.Hotels can be upgraded on request.

NOTE: You can also continue to Costa Rica and then fly from LIR (Liberia international airport). San Juan del Sur is located one hour drive from the border and the combination is perfect, to visit places like Arenal volcano, Monteverde national park, Rincon de la Vieja, and the beaches of Guanacaste & Papagayo.
