HOTEL SELVA NEGRA **

Located in the highlands of central Nicaragua, the hills of Selva Negra are draped in green year round and the temperature is always comfortable. Fourteen trails, six of which are designed for horses, make this pristine cloud forest easy to explore...

The Selva Negra Mountain Resort offers its visitor many experiences. From the fern plants as tall as trees to the ecological technology involved in producing an internationally known, environmentally sound gourmet coffee.

We like: the bungalows. A rustic style, but a good spot for 1-3 nights to discover this beautiful mountainous area.

ROOMS
Selva Negra resort has different lodging options to offer you
Bungalows ** - Nineteen bungalows ranging from one to four bedrooms each with their own front porch. Most convenient.
Chalets ** - Four larger bungalows filled with the history and the aura of the region. Ranging from three to six bedrooms.
Hotel Rooms * - hotel rooms with private bath and shared front porch. Quite basic.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Selva Negra is a natural resort that offers many activities for the nature enthusiast. All activities, with the exception of horseback riding and the coffee tour, are free of charge to the guests at the resort. From your room you can experience 14 Mountain Hiking Trails with varying lengths and difficulty levels, go observe fauna and flora, go bird watching and more.

Finca Esperanza Verde (Green Hope Farm) Ecologde

Organic Coffee Farm and Nature Preserve, is a cool, green and tranquil paradise located in the lush mountains of central Nicaragua (1,200 m/ 4000 feet elevation). You will find beautiful sunsets, peaceful moments, delicious food, as well as educational and recreational activities. The farm, ecolodge and nature reserve run by local staff offers comfortable lodging for 26 guests, shade-grown organic coffee, rainforest walks over well marked trails and other natural wonders. Finca Esperanza Verde is a sustainable tourism project owned by Sister Communities of San Ramon, Nicaragua, a non-profit 501 c 3 organization run by volunteers in the U.S. All income stays in San Ramon, providing an environmentally-friendly source of income for local people and financial resources for community projects.

ROOMS
The lodge and cabins built of hand made brick and other local materials accommodate up to 26 people. Equipped with solar powered electricity, flush toilets, sinks and showers. Each cabin sleeps 6 in sturdy bunk beds. In addition, there are three double rooms with private bath. A camping area offers pleasant conditions for campers with three campsites and a covered shelter. During your homestay in the town of San Ramón, enjoy time with a typical Nicaraguan family. The homes of the host families have flush toilets, sinks, showers and electricity.

Delicious local food is prepared and served in our lodge with a view. The farm serves a variety of healthy, delicious Nicaraguan dishes made with fresh local meats, fruits and vegetables.
