Visit the Cigar Factories

Esteli is known for its tropical climate, which is ideal for growing fine tobacco. Visit the city with your driver, lots of cigar plantations and factories can be found in and around Estelí. Nicaragua Adventure will have arranged for you a day tour to visit plantations and factories where some of the world’s best brands of cigars are produced like Nick Perdomo, Joya de Nicaragua, Padron…. You will see men and women selecting, cutting, rolling, ordering, and packing the cigars.

The tour and description in each factory and plantation will vary according to the company, plantations and the assistance from a local guide, this could take from 1 to 2hrs in each place. You can see how the tobacco plants grow and how they are harvested.

Duration: 4 to 5 hours from Esteli (Mo-Fr)
